Like I said. Haven't heard from them in a long time. Therefore I just assumed something happened. Not being able to get funding because your products were niche back then and you cater specifically to a niche hardcore crowd i'd think would be counted as a "casualty" as would possibly going out of buisness while making a game... etc.
