People would want to play Goldeneye online on the 360 instead of Left4Dead, Halo 3, Gears 2, Modern Warfare, etc?

I understand nostalgia, but really? I must have forgotten how amazingly well Goldeneye stands up against modern day shooters.

I would provided it had an updated control scheme, all though I'm not your typical XBOX owner. I don't really care about Left4Dead, Halo 3, Gear 2, or Modern Warfare but I like GoldenEye. The controls and A.I. are archaic by today's standards, but I still love the mission structure and varying objectives you never find in modern shooters. Guns a blazing mostly works in the above mentioned games, but in GoldenEye you might kill someone vital to the mission or blow-up a computer you needed to hack and fail and that's what I liked about it. The more delicate situations made you feel more like a spy, and the difficulties actually added new objectives as you went up.

You ever play Time Splitters? #2 even has a snow level (I believe it's in Russia) that looks like it came right out of Goldeneye.

Granted I haven't played TS1 in forever, so I really don't remember that game, but TS2 has some pretty varied missions that fit in with your description.

My friends and I still have a hellofa lotta fun and actually prefer playing TS2 multiplayer over any other FPS game since.

EDIT:One of the greatest things about TS2 is that when you choose easy, normal, or hard for story mode, it actually changes your mission instead of just making the enemies easier.

EDIT2: Oh and there are over 80 characters or so to unlock for multiplayer, and yes they all have their own accuracy, speed, and health stats.

The game is over the top awesomesauce.
