The PS3 is no longer the cheapest Blu-ray player (some at $200) so it's no longer a good buy for those just wanting a standalone player.
Even as the PS3 price drops, so too are standalone players. For those with PC's, you can already buy a BD drive for just $80.
Blu-ray is still a selling point but it's not as potent as it was back at launch.
