“Both ‘Resident Evil 5‘ and ‘Street Fighter IV‘ were designed for high-definition graphics systems using Capcom’s current in-house engine called MT Framework. To get ‘RE5′ or ‘Street Fighter IV’ out on the Wii, we would have to create all-new versions of both of these games, which is something we’re not opposed to doing. So the intention of both ‘RE5′ and ‘Street Fighter IV’ was to go for graphical showcases, which is not what the center of the bullseye Wii is aiming for. However, we do have a lot of ‘Resident Evil’ action happening on the Wii and hopefully we will have more in the future.”

Capcom's response to Reggie's insolence

Sigh, go troll somewhere else. Reggie was told to ask a question, and he thought of a question to ask, and you guys keep calling him arrogant and insolent for it. You guys have serious fanboy issues.

The odd thing is that this is exactly the kind of question that videogame "Journalists" should have asked countless times, but they're too busy complaining about how Nintendo is ruining the industry to do their job ...

Seriously, how many "Journalists" have asked "The Wii is the fastest selling videogame console in history, remained (essentially) sold out for two years, had unprecidented E3 excitment when it was first demonstrated, and most multi-console owners have a Wii which should indicate that it has a pretty large conventional gamer audience. Why are the only conventional games made by capcom in popular genres for the Wii ports of games that were released on previous generation consoles, or awful ports of HD console games?" ... The same "Journalists"who bitch that these games don't exist seem to have no capacity to ask why they don't exist.

Typically you do not need to ask questions that anyone with 2 brain cells can answer by themselves....

PS : Why exactly would Wii multi console owners care about Wii ports ? They are multi console owners for god sake. That point does not make any sense at all....

So anyone with 2 braincells should understand why a company chooses to make products with the smallest market at the highest costs possible? I'm certain that the CEO's at Midway are so happy that they ignored the Wii and entered into Chapter 11 rather than risk making games that weren't HD ... I bet Take-Two's shareholders are entirely willing to accept that their investments are tanking because pixel effects are so important ...

Secondly, who said anything about ports?

A multi-console owner might have been interested in a spin-off of Dead Rising rather than a third rate port
