It won't outsell the PS1. It started too slow and there will be no time before the end of this generation to accomplish that. On the other hand, there is almost 100% chance to outsell the PS2 by 2011. The explanation is the major price cut announced today, dropping the price to USD 199.00 with a re-released 20 GB version, stripped of the wifi and BC.
