How would a price drop benefit Sony?

First Microsoft didn't won shit so does sony...because the Wii both smashed these console in terms of sales weekly and overall( refer to main page) and the 360 is still @ 2nd just like last gen so I don't see how MS won.

Second sony would only drop the price of ps3 once the production cost goes down which means they won't lose billions of $$ as you said once they do a price cut for ps3.
