No. X360 will be always cheaper - that's for sure but when all systems cost below $299 it means nothing. PS3 offers more than X (blu-ray player) and be aware situation right now isn't shitty in any way. X is selling better but c'mon we can't talk about PS3's humilation as for now. Regards games. Gamers want new games. Many people don't care about old games. No matter how good these games are. Sony provided few new IP's but we really have to wait for heavy hitters. PS3 line-up is strong and definitely as for now 2008 looks much brighter than for X360. |
By the time the PS3 hits $299 this generation will have been decided already. The PS3 will at $299 in 4 quarter 2009 at the earliest. In the two plus years it takes the PS3 to get that pricing level the Wii and 360 will built and even larger lead over the PS3. Developers will have shifted the bulk of their sources away from PS3 by then and the situation will only worsen.
"Why is it that everyone looks at the PS3's line up which is in it's second generation looking this good and the 360's third generation and say Sony doesnt have any good games. Sony's second generation titles are better looking then the 360's 2nd generation of games (Uncharted and UT3 looks better then Gears). But we all know that the 80GB will have a price cut when the 60GB runs out."-ssj12
Even though I said this already in prior post in this thread. I'll say it again. You can't time warp the current PS3 back to 2006 to compare the 360 lineup of that time. Consumers are going to compare what is on the shelves now. They are going to see the price difference and expect the PS3 to be leaps and bound ahead of the 360. They are going to expect a better game lineup. Neither is true. It is why the PS3 is selling so poorly in comparison to its competitors and its predecessors.
