And I'm not sure whether you can play 2 online and 2 local, and still get the trophy for playing with friends. But in general, you can play with both local and and online players at the same time easily.

My wife likes the game, but it stresses her out. She isn't to great at platformers, and she jumps whenever a sackperson dies

I need to get all the prize bubbles too. I forgot about the friend trophy. The hardest one will be getting my levels hearted, as I refuse to publish total crap and then have a ton of people heart them for no reason. So i'll just have to put a little real work into it.
