GC games sold much better in first 5 months than PS3 (in Japan)

To be fair, on the GC 3 of the 5 could be considered "killer apps" for one reason or another.

 

Super Smash brothers obviously

Animal Crossing for the free memory card

Luigis mansion for being the first Luigi Game
