Not sure if this has been mentioned yet, but overall shipments of Wii's have most likely been lowered to allocate systems for this holiday season. Remember Reggie making a statement saying that Wii availability this Christmas would be unprecedented. It makes more sense to have many more systems available during the holidays because every freaking kid is going to want a Wii and parents will be more willing to shell out the money since it is a Christmas present. I've had a Wii from day 1 and it has totally lost any play value for me. Before Metroid it sat dormant for a good 4 months. I have been thinking about trading it in but I really don't feel like getting ass raped by Gamestop.
