To get Brawl+, you only need to boot via the GeckoOS in the Homebrew Channel. You can still boot the normal brawl via the Wii's channel screen. If you want to play online, just go on the IRC channel (#BrawlPlus on irc.gamesurge.net) and ask anyone for an online match.
