Plus school's back in session- that often diverts consumer dollars for a bit. Anyway... Burst? God no! Settling down to "reasonable" numbers (defining reasonable as "still well above what anyone dreamed in 2006")? Maybe. Halo3 and the holidays are gonna toss it all about for a bit, so we won't really be able to tell until January/February. That said, what's the basis for this? Nintendo only outselling the competition in Japan by a large margin instead of a rediculous one? ALMOST being tied by the 360 in MS's best market, on the eve of the launch of it's biggest title? That it's actually in stock on some continents? If these are problems, sign me up for more. As to Wii being a fad? Wasn't Pokemon? Not all fads die. Besides, the Wii has advantages over stuff like Beanie Babies- each new game has the chance to reinvigorate the console. We know Mario, Mario Kart and SSBB will bring in the tradotional gamers, and WiiFit will broaden the base, especially among broads. And can you imagine what will happen when WiiDogs comes out next year? (you know it's coming) And whenever things look to be slowing down, Nintendo can cut the price more aggressively than either competitor.
