Anyway, seems like aside from DQVIII sales of their RPGs are in decline ever since DC1.

Clearly they haven't released a standard RPG on the best platforms for them in Japan.

Good thing they've been expanding beyond that genre more as time goes on.

 

 You mean Wii and PSP? Because they have games for DS.

   Anyway, looks like DQVIII has sold about 1.2m in the West. And damn this is impressive, it basically makes it the 3rd most successfull console jRPG in the West after FF and KH. Maybe it is indeed real to make the series popular here.
