it matters how much performance you want. If your looking for Crysis on high, about $700 is all thats needed to spend.
the fact you can get a quad for for $130 is dirt cheap because you have to realize comparing consoles vs PC hardware isnt a really good comparison. Since console hardware never changes until the next generation you never have increasing performance and ever changing prices. PC prices and performance change every 6 months. Older parts get cheaper while newer take on their older counterpart's price.
