Riot Of The Blood said: The problem with core games is that the standard has changed this generation -- it has lowered, actually. Games like God of War, GTA and Halo were never considered hardcore games until now. The Wii has plenty of true hardcore games on it if you just take the time to look for them. The Wii's biggest problem has always been it's quality not being up to standard, not a lack of core games.
The Wii is, without a doubt, a bad console. But like all bad, low quality consoles before it, it has hardcore games on it. |
Ha, the Wii is not a low quality console. Here are some low quality (or at least flawed) consoles:
X360 PS2 N64 PS1
Poorer graphical capabilities don't stop the parts being quality.

I agree with the PS1 and PS2. The PS1 is even worse than the Wii.
But the 360 and N64? The 360 is ok and the N64 was very good.

The 360 has technical problems that arguably exceed even those the PS2 had, the N64 was brilliant at topping the PS1 in the polycount, but the hardware was difficult to work with and the PS1 games usually has much better resolutions which meant some games look better on PS1 despite the power difference. (this may have been partly the use of cartridges fault)
I am talking quality of the consoles here, not the quality of it's games library. Although to be honest I don't see the X360 as having many decent games at all, so I would put that one low on a software aspect too (and that's if you get to play the game without it scratching the disc or something)
