@Wookaroo: I hope you understand that you're now in for banning all the games someone finds offensive. I really wouldn't have thought that there are that many people backing Jack Thompson up.
Now, you made one oxymoron in your post. When you are justifying your violence in "shooting a corrupt cop" or "hunting down criminals" you actually become one of the hunted, when the justification is only in your head anymore, which isn't different from killing innocent people.
I know you think differently, which is pretty bad thing in the sense that you actually think something justifies killing people (outside self defense when your life is theatened). For me, it's pretty irrelevant what the violence in the videogame is and who will suffer - it's only a videogame where nobody is getting hurt. If i don't like the game, i down buy it.
