Even then in year 2 PS3 almost had DOUBLE the SW sales despite being launched 3 months into the year Year 3....it is more

I don't think you understand that time of ownership means a lot for game purchasing.... the X360 started off with more limited supply, and in it's first 2 "years" only really had 13.5 months of time to sell.
The PS3 had enormous supply for the PAL launch, so all those people that bought it early have had more time to buy more games.... in total 21 months for comparisons sake.
More time in total means more hardware sales, which means more games... more time also means more games per console.... then the early buyers situation (PS3 launhed to over double 360s launch) means that the skew of users is more concentrated at launch, which means that those people have had even more time to buy more games.
The PS3 has everything going for it in that comparison..... and in addition to that (which is not making any difference to the fairness in reality) the PS3 did actually sell more than the X360 even in the same time frame... never mind when you give the PS3 a 7-8 month advantage.

The software table for the first two years of the two consoles includes just 900k X360s and only 1 real (good supply) Christmas period
The software table for the first two years of the PS3 includes almost 1,900k PS3s... over double, mostly because of the extra months, but also because of 2 well supplied Christmasses as well as a well supplied launch... and also partly because the PS3 has in fact sold better over it's early period than the X360 did.
