Maybe I'm missing something, but it seems like very few people that frequent these forums like Halo 3 or World of Warcraft. These are the 2 most popular and polished multiplayer games of this generation and maybe of all time, yet the vast majority of people here dislike them both. Why?

Is it because this is primarily a Sony fanboy site? Is it because the people here are more "hardcore" and thus, prefer different elements in a game than the mainstream? Do the majority of posters here prefer single player gaming to multiplayer?

I really must know, because I find both of those games to be incredibly enjoyable, and while I don't expect everyone to have the same taste, it boggles my mind how so few people in a video game community such as VGC actually appreciate these 2 juggernaughts.

Halo 3 (and actually the whole series) seems rather mediocre. Well, they seem polished but mediocre to be more precise. Truth be told though, I've only played the first one for a couple of hours. It actually felt mediocre.

WoW? The idea is boring even if it's well executed. Besides, it's expensive and I can't think a game is good simply because it's addictive to some (or many, in this case).

Sony fanboy site? I thought it was Nintendo? Hardcore? This site? I'd call it a bad joke if you weren't so new (well, at least I think you're new, as I forgot to check your post count).

Anyway, Halo and WoW are two brands that even more casual gamers know. Yep, those casual gamers that don't care about the fact that the games are pretty simple in the end. Of course they have more hardcore fans as well but... I'd really say it's the more casual players that make up most of the fanbase.
