You really havent thought your prediction through, so I will enter the evidence you forgot about.
1. The Wii is extremely successful both hardware and software wise, and therefore introducing a new platform would prematurely kill the Wii's success. (Also it is the fastest selling console ever)
2. It has been said that Nintendo is considering RAISING the price in Europe (or just UK?) because they are not happy with how much they are making there.
Now those are two major points you've forgotten about. Do you really think they'd announce a Wii HD now?
No they are not, it's absurd and would be a foolish business move.
