killzone2 is now tracking below cod waw and fable2.

And in response to a thread the other day it will be lucky to make 2 million before July now, nevermind mid April.

Halo Wars isnt showing better legs and will always be around 300k behind KZ2... sold incredibly well for a RTS though.

Buut ... but ... its going to hit 4 - 4.5 million!!

no chance....  2.5m and it will pretty much flatline...  not what was hoped for surely.

I told people again & again the game has nowhere near the HYPE of MGS4.....so why are people even bothering to predict sales higher than it

but noooooo....no-one listened!

Killzone 2 had more hype then MGS4 at least in advertising revenue. Can only speak for here in the UK but they spent £2m advertising KZ2 here. They didn't spend anywhere near as much on MGS4 here.

Personally i expect KZ2 sales to at least match what Gears 1 sold seeing as the PS3 has now got a bigger install base then what Gears 1 had at that time. I would also go so far as to say im confident that KZ2 cost maybe even twice what it cost to make and advertise the orgional gears game. Advertising = hype.

You think Killzone will sell over 5 million? It will probably be more like 2.5 to 3. I still think it can make 3 million though which is along the lines of what I predicted for it.

No KZ2 won't sell 5m anytime soon. But i think it will get to 3m for sure. It is a good game. The adverts are still all over the tv, it still has its trailer in the cinema and on the tube i still see the posters. Meaning some people still are yet to buy it.
But i personally think it had to match Gears 1 sales to show devs the PS3 can compete in the FPS market with the 360.
