I don't know a single person who owns a Bluray player, apart from a few guys at my college who own a PS3. Also, a lot of people don't even know what Bluray is, especially the older generation. And when you walk into an electronics store and see a Bluray movie for 30 bucks, and the same movie on DVD for 5, the vast majority of mankind will buy the DVD, simple as that.
