VGcharts estimates for sold to customer is as good as its going to get right now.

MS's own press releases on numbers sold is a pretty solid indicator of actual numbers. And it clearly says 'sold', not shipped -- the distinction is laid out in the article. Why does this bother you so much? VGChartz is extremely close to this number without adding any of September (where it's been implied 360 has picked up significantly). I think this press release is actually a testament to what a fantastic job ioi is doing. To be so close to the actual numbers without access to the same tools/resources that MS itself has is astonishing.

Did you actually read the press release and think about some of the things it said? If you did and you still think it's a pretty solid indicator of the actual numbers then you are probably using the new math.
