Wow, this list has a couple of strange additions. Gundam Musou gets an "award for excellence"? For what? "Excellently" taking the worst aspects of two franchises and cramming them together in one awful game?
I'd also have liked to see Okami in the "Grand Award" category, rather than Monster Hunter Portable. (I suppose the Monster Hunter franchise is rather inexplicably popular among Japanese gamers, but still, it's nothing more than a stripped-down MMORPG...)
All in all, a decent list, but it seems like it makes a few concessions to popularity over substance.
"'Casual games' are something the 'Game Industry' invented to explain away the Wii success instead of actually listening or looking at what Nintendo did. There is no 'casual strategy' from Nintendo. 'Accessible strategy', yes, but ‘casual gamers’ is just the 'Game Industry''s polite way of saying what they feel: 'retarded gamers'."
