I don't understand why some people always have to make an argument all or nothing. Comments like, if you care about graphics at all why did you buy a Wii. My reason for getting a Wii was not "i hate graphics and good display", it's more like, there is a point where graphics are good enough. Conversely there is a point where it's not good enough, and this is not good enough. More to the point, are us PAL'ers just supposed to bend over and accept an inferior product, even if it is by a small margin, AND pay more for it.
Finally, it's not like this would have been a very hard thing to do, my mate was able to change display modes on his Xbox games, using Linux and it used to take him a couple of minutes to change a couple of lines of code in the game and he's never programmed a game in his life.
