Market share don't mean much as we can all see what happened to Sony. Ask Sony what they would've prefered last gen, more profit or marketshare?
Question: How on earth can a cutting edge x360 arcade cost less to produce than the wii - a console that many consider no more powerful than last gens original xbox?
Yet the wii sells for a handsome profit at twice the price whilst MS price drops are cutting massive chunks out of their revenue.
On the whole the far cheaper xbox360 should be selling far more than the expensive PS3 (at least double). Let's not mention the wii because that is a totally different beast.

If you were going for an impartial take on the scenario then the statement I highlighted just makes you look like a fanboy. We should mention the Wii in any comparisons and there is no way the 360 should be selling double the amount of the PS3, thats not how demand works mate.

I think that's what he was trying to say - that the underlying demand for the PS3 must still be higher than 360 as the 360 needs to be much cheaper to offset the PS3's demand advantage.
If Sony every actually get around to a price drop we'll see if there really is better underlying demand for the PS3 or not.
Overall pretty decent numbers.
