The only point of your post was to question if I applied the correct logic to a definition, and another posters objection to it. It had nothing to do with the post, or socialism for that matter. It had as much to do with cars as it did the topic of this discussion.

You don't think whether you are using the words correctly is relevant to the discussion?  I disagree.  Suppose you are using them incorrectly; this will create huge problems for the discussion. 

My comments were relevant to the subject in that they were on the topic of whether the relationship between certain subjects was understood. 

Still, perhaps it could be argued that I was not "in the discussion" as much as "dipping my toes into the discussion" and, upon feeling the water in the pool, changing my mind about jumping in.  I'm not sure where our current meta-discussion (if that's the term, or even A term) fits into the analogy.
