Atlanta's educational system is one of the worst in the entire country, I'd hardly call it a shining example of the American educational system (although Public schools all lag far behind).
There are many bright Americans and there are many bright Europeans, and just as many idiots in both areas. (I've been in Europe, I know it exists.)
