Yes, you'll miss out on a item collector achievement, but ToV has to be the worst JRPG on the 360 for achievements (and this is coming from a guy that's oh-so close to 1k/1k-ing Eternal Sonata). As for your party, I like Yuri, Estellise, Judy and Rita. Fatal Strikes are pretty easy, I think. The key is to hit RB to check the enemie's FS meter - there's a bar that shows how close you are to unleashing a up, down, or left/right FS. Each monster type has a different type of FS they are weak against. Keep using artes that correspond to their weakness, and you'll be getting fatal strikes on every enemy in battle. They're a great way of getting lots of grade pts per battle. Now, for me, Overlimits were the trickier of the bunch, and learning to properly use Burst and Mystic Artes. I still haven't got a 'great' combo chain yet - my max is still at a paltry 40 hits. |
I am a joke when it comes to combos. I just run around beating enemies around with 4 regular attacks and then hit them with a Dragon Swarm.
This is the first Tales game that I actually played more than 2 hours in. I now look back and think "Why have I not played these games?"
24 hours in now and I just finished kicking Zagi's ass at the coliseum. I kicked the hell out of him. Probably helped that I was level 35.
Unfortunately I also missed on of the secret mission achievements so far, the one from the Goliath, where I needed to knock him down by attacking his achilles heal or something.
iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.
