Not going to question the prediction, but really if you think about there is not much reason for a PS2 owner that hasnt purchased a next gen console (or a Wii) to pick up a PS3.
With backwards compatability gone they wont pick up a PS3 as a replacement PS2.
With nearly all 3rd party titles going to 360 as well as PS3, and usually better on 360 as well.
The 1st/2nd party exclusives now coming for the PS3 (with GT5 the exception) are not well known/super popular franchises so whats to say people will go to the PS3 because of an exclusive PS3 title over an exclusive 360 title. GT5 already negated somewhat with GT5 Prolog selling in excess of 3 million.
What that really leaves is the sole differentiator for the PS3 is Blu-Ray and Blu-Ray players are now priced at mainstream prices (sub $200).
Its libraries that sell systems not a single game.
