I think this article completely misses the point of making a demo avaliable for download. They make it seem like demos are there for people to play free games that are really really short. Demo's are for publishers to get people to BUY the game. If the demo is only 10 seconds long it's not going to get anyone to buy the game. If they do have to pay a few cents per download well they will have to determine if it's worth it to make a demo or not. If less people are making demos or uploading videos then it reduces the clutter and it now becomes more appealing for publishers to upload demos and try to win purchases with it.
