I bought my PS3 knowing that both FFXIII and FFXVIII would come.
I bet this will be a reason for VERY MANY FF fans in Japan.
A price cut is something many is awaiting aswell, that is perhaps a reason why so many wait buying a PS3 untill FFXIII releases, since there is a chance the price drop will occur earlier..
And GT5 is probably being released late 09 or early 10 aswell, so that will be another reason to the ones still unsure about getting PS3.
Just wait one year, and then we can discuss JRPG Developers (SE's) bed.

Wii: 87 Million - 43.5%
Xbox 360: 57 Million - 28.5%
Playstation 3: 56 Million - 28%
