Can PS3 outsell the Wii in Japan in 2009?

Funny, I thought the PS3 had actually been ahead of the Wii for the following three weeks after two medium sized PS3 hits came out.  It was one rather average jrpg from Level-5 that had them closely competing with the Wii in the earlier part of the year.  And apparently the game the Japanese are loving the most right now is Demon Souls on PS3.

 

First of all, Level 5 is actually pretty big in Japan. Second, RE5, Yakuza 3, and SF4 also came out and RE5 and Yakuza are big releases.

This. Not only that but we're talking about total sales for the year and not cherry picking specific weeks. It's going to take a lot more than a few weeks of outselling the Wii be a few thousand units for the PS3 to beat the Wii for the year.
