Market trends suggest the Wii will surpass the PS2. Suggesting otherwise is doing so with only a measure of personal interest and not relevant data.
Console longevity has always been a market factor. If the consumers, publishers and retail support the console...it stays on the market regardless of the introductions of new generations.
PS: I love reading all the revisionist history in here. Fascinating, really.
