DMC4 Sold more than 1.3+ mil on the PS another 1.1+mil on the 360.
Considering Bayonetta is from the creator of DMC, includes eyecandy, more traditional graphic (more mainstream appeal) and is targeted at the exact demography that owns it's chosen platforms, there is an extremely good chance that Bayonetta will wipe Madworld's behind.
Also Bayonetta will appeal to Japanese gamers, I'd feel confident in predicting a 200k+ for the PS3 version and perhaps 100k+ for the 360 in Japan, this is something madworld cannot emulate.
The only things Madworld has going for it is the wii's monstrous leg, but we have yet to see if such a unique game can capture the the right audience on a system with such a wide and varying demography.
Overall I predict: Bayonetta PS3 > Bayonetta X360 > Madworld.
