The DSi is riding off the insane popularity of the DSL, something the original (and fugly) DS didn't enjoy, lol.
Today a mom came in to pre-order the DSi for her 7 year old daughter who already has a DSL. And what's really crazy is that the family looked dirt broke. 0_o
