Exclusives like Ninja Gaiden 2 and Bioshock you mean ? It goes both ways, except MS has only a handful of 1st party studios, while Sony has tons of studios whose exclusives you can't buy, so it's not very hard to see where the exclusives will be now (hint : on the same console as 2008). Sony doesn't care about 3rd parties since they have tons of 1st party exclusives. Basically soon PS3 library = PS3 exclusives + 360 library, so the only looser seems to be the 360-only onwer. Sales : yeah you can spin them, but I still wait for the answer to my question : - If the PS3 is doooooomed, why does it sell more multiplat softwares like RE5 and SF4 worldwide ?? Or is the 360 more doooomed, please explain me I'dl like to know because with this huuuuuge installed fantasy gap, it's really strange. Any PS3 price cut would put the 360 in trouble now, since it was already outsold before MS cut the price, but at that time (before september), at least MS had some AAA exclusives, and they haven't got any now... Please answer the question about RE5 and SF4 sales please, I'd like to know how you can spin that it would be cool. |
My RE5 and SFIV sales response:
PS3 owners should be celebrating that SF IV and RE5 sold more on PS3 worldwide than X360. That means the game on PS3 must be better than on X360. Multi-platform titles are expected to sell more on X360 due to the 8 million advantage it has over PS3 in worldwide sales.
SF IV and RE5 sold more on PS3. I own a X360 and I will not buy those games. There must be a problem if it sells less on X360 than PS3. I played demo of RE5 and hated it. The gameplay mechanics of the game and the stop pop shooting were dreadful. RE5 focuses on a co-op gameplay and single player mode is weak.
RE5 is just another survival horror shooter game - where I believe there are far superior shooters already on the market. SF IV well fighters not for everyone and I already own two of them this generation - Dead or Alive 4 and VF5 and they were both well ok but got boring quickly.
Both FFXIII and Tekken 6 will sell better on PS3 due to Japan region significantly helping the cause and a 55% to 45% ratio share is expected for PS3 over X360 in regards to those two games in worldwide game sales.
Japanese developed/ traditional Playstaion brand games sell better on PS3 than X360. Every other game (Western developed software titles) tends to sell more on XBox 360 than PS3 except for the soccer simulation games that PS3 gets the edge due to Europeans buying them.
