My friends complain that there are no games available on the Wii except shovelware. Even when I point out games like Madworld, The Conduit, etc., they just claim that they borrow from other games.

I debate with them and enjoy throwing the sales figures at them. One of my friends seems to disregard everything Wii despite the fact that he owns one. When I suggested that he check out Madworld for about two weeks straight he started talking about selling his Wii to a game store.

I bought Madworld the day it came out and brought it over to his house three days later. Four of us were playing Command and Conquer on the PC and once finished I loaded up Madworld and played in front of them. One by one they all came and checked it out and all said something to the extent of "I might have to check this game out" or "This looks like a game that I might enjoy."

I believe that, first, you play and enjoy the games you want regardless of what someone else says. If you find a game that you think deserves support, BUY IT yourself and worry about others first. If you think a game is good and want it to suceed, you better support it yourself. (Don't even get me going on the music business..) Once you have it, continue to use word of mouth to recommend it to other people and show it to them if possible.

P.S. The game is awesome. I am through the first seven levels, I think, but haven't played it since last Saturday as I have been in Texas since Monday. I will load it up and play it for a few hours when I get home tomorrow night and will hopefully finish "normal" and will check out hard.
