Am I the only one not impressed by that?

It looks like fun, but it's another testimony as to why 3D shouldn't be on the DS.

Oh, god, graphics whore.

This didn't work when the DS launched, it's not going to make the DS look bad now.

I am definitely not a graphics whore. Take a look see at my game collection and it's a testament to that.

I think developers should shy away from 3D on the DS and focus on making great 2D. Suikoden Tierkreis and Professor Layton are good examples of this.

The thing is that not all games work in 2D.

Plus developers have stated that sprites are more time consuming to program than polygons and textures. I believe them because of all the work I have to do making original sprites for my comic (no copyright violations there), and I still have an image editing program to make a lot of the work easier.

I just think that this game could be done brilliantly in the style of the PS1 Tales games. (Tales of Hearts as well)

That's already Chain of Memories. Looked good, but that's not what the developer wanted this time.

Which is why I liked Chains of Memories on a portable.

That's not what the developers want to limit themselves to. Another game that uses a more advanced CoM style could happen, but they want to see what they can get out of the DS in 3D.

A flashy-first game is awesome when it comes out. A great-first game is awesome forever.
