1. Not my opiniion. Mario Galaxy's Metacritic score is a 97. Brawl is 93 and Mario Kart Wii is an 82. There you go again using metric scores. That is only what 50-200 peoples reviews and opinions which you agree with and so do I. Alot of people MILLIONS do not read reviews. Meaning they do not know what is better. However to them Mario Kart and Brawl are as they seem like they are more family interactive type games. 2. So what are you saying? Those games appeal to people because they have accessories with them and provide fun, family casual time? At least that is a better admission that most of those that say that despite review scores those are the three greatest games of all time and every single reviewer whom has contributed to their C and B- Metacritic scores have a grudge against Nintendo. Wii play is the only game I would say sold because of a need for another controller. Everyone needs another controller. They go to the store Controller alone versus bundle is $10 cheaper. So why wouldn't you spend $10 on a fun small casual game? Wii Fit has sold due to having the balance board but that is because the board gives the game a new way of playing and some srot of meaning, then sitting on the coach pretending like you are exercising. 3. Most developers want their core games to sell 8 million copies? That's a lot. No I never said that, I was saying they would be HOPING THEY COULD. Your saying your dissapointed how well it sold in comparisson to a few casual games and that the sale numbers would make developers make casual games instead of croes, but 8 million on any game is a HUGE SUCCESS. My point was that 8million sales of a core game should not make developers think they need to only make casual games because the core game ONLY sold 8million veruss a causal with 20million, when in truth most CORE games are lucky to break a million or two anyway. 4. You can find them new at Wal~Mart, Not where I am. 5. If it is a better version of the game, it should sell better than previous versions. And this new market that Nintendo's attracting with the Blue Ocean strategy, they didn't have an opportunity to buy it on the Wii, so they should have picked it up. See, it has been said that Nintendo's plan was to attract new people to gaming with the blue ocean strategy and them convert them into hardcore gamers. They're really failing at that if the millions that picked up Wii Fit won't buy RE4, one of the best games of all time, on their first game system. Sure it is a better game, but alot of people will not upgrade as they don't see value in it. Money to some people menas alot more then just buying the same game with better controls. 6. Sure the PS2 sold a ton of games when they had Final Fantasy X, GTA III, Devil May Cry, MGS2, GT3, and Jak and Daxter all out for Christmas 2001. What has this got to do with me saying Uncharted succeeded so well because of timing and no other competition? The games you listed on PS2 are established franchises. Like I said if Uncharted launched against the big dogs of the PS then the game would of been less successful due to people buying the more established franchises they know. Like I said I am glad they timed it right otherwise alot of people would of missed out on discovering a new IP. 7. Do you think Epic would be happy if Gears 2 had only sold 500,000 copies this November on the 360? Offcourse not, because they probably would break even on it at 500K due to the money they put into it. Where as Wii games cost less to make so they can be successful selling less game and still make a profit. |
