Because it outsold KZ2...and it was a NEW IP...and the 360's install base was small...and KZ2 is supposedly "LIGHT YEARS" ahead of it...I guess it's the double standard people apply to M$ and Sony. Last week, or the week before, Sony PR came out saying that KZ2 would cause some migration from 360...then NPD delivers not such good news, which we already knew. Sony should be worrying about its decling market share, and inability to deliver sales ratios comparable to the last gen console...
