But if more Wii owners bought games like No More Heroes, Madworld, The Conduit, Okami, and Zack and Wiki and these other games that are better than The Big 4 on the Wii in sufficient numbers (maybe just a couple of million each but really I don't see why they shouldn't sell as well as Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games), then developers would have no choice but to bring these big exclusive types of third-party games to the Wii like the PS2 had. Without them the the Wii library will never match up to the PS2's. |
I think you fail to realise that games like Okami, No More Heroes, and Madworld cost little money, cater only to certain group of gamers because they are very niche and they wouldnt sell better on 360 or PS3 or PS2, just look at the sales of Okami on PS2. Hell look at big third party effort like Prince of Persia which did not break a milion on Either PS3 or 360, because it has cell shaded visuals.
Okami , Madworld have nothing in common with Gears and Halo which are targeted at hardcore/mainstream/casual owners (basically all of them) of the 360, and have great hype, budget and advertising behind them.
When a 3rd party studio decides to put loads of money, effort and create a game in a popular genre that appeal to wide audience (WRPG, Shooter, Racing) on the Wii , then the game will sell, show me a game like that that bombed and then we can talk about Wii games not selling, for example if MH III does poorly in Japan.
About lack of M games on the Wii, i personally do not need too much of them, im happy playing mario over gears.
ps. And about Sonic and Mario on the Olympic games i personally think it is a great game, you should give it a go with friends or family , absolute blast.
