Grand Theft Auto - pretty much all of them. San Andreas has been the only one I've liked a bit. The games have always had much potential but terrible gameplay (namely controls and in IV, camera) has ruined them all. Especially IV was terrible - not only were the controls terrible, the camera as well was. It did not know whether to be free or to follow.

Other than that, I can't say I've actually hated any other "masterpieces". There are a few overrated, though. Half-Life 2, for example, is one. It was absolutely nothing special. It's a good game but nowhere near a masterpiece. The first Half-Life is something I might just accept as a masterpiece... Although that's not my personal opinion. Then there's Halo; I've played the first one on PC for a couple of hours. Don't know if it's just the beginning but I think I haven't played many games that are so boring.

And finally there's Metal Gear Solid 4; it's acclaimed as the best game ever and so on, but it's definitely the worst game in the series. Most people who love it seem to be rather new to the series, and indeed, it is less hardcore, or more casul, whichever you prefer, than the previous games in the series. It's not a bad game but definitely not worth the praise. To a lesser extent, the same goes for MGS3 as well. The first MGS was the most balanced game, although personally I like MGS2 the best (but can see why people may not like it).
