The only important argument is the one about DD.
Blu-ray has some problems, like high price, and lack of a library, but as others said, DVD dealed with the same problem against VHS.
The only problem is the speed of the Blu-ray takeover. It is supposed to reach 50% market share by 2012! Do you honestly believe that we won't have Internet connections fast enough for HD video streaming around that time???
Blu-ray is obviously a sustaining successor of the DVD, but it is "physical storage", as a whole that is getting disrupted.
