The PS3 still has such a long way to go in Japan, for one the price of the console is still very high so when the price does drop it should leave the console doing 10k every week minimum. The FFXIII demo will sell consoles let alone the full game and also Versus will do the same, GT5 is another one but nothing in the FFXIII scale.
It seems to be never too late in Japan, the PSP was not doing too hot until MH came along and then look what happened.
