When has Nintendo ever been the company to connect people? Nintendo has always been a more family friendly company and I believe that they don't wanna be help responsible for some dumbass twelve year old kid telling some 35 year old creep where he lives. Granted, it's still possible on the DS, but regardless, Wi-Fi gaming has never really fit into their business model :-
