Hope you can beat the horrible SP quickly and sell it for a true sequel (KZ2).

It's amazing the total opposite nature of both games.

KZ2: Good sequel to horrible first game

R2: Horrible sequel to good first game

I own both.  I purchased R2 for $40, after owning KZ2.  I don't get the bashing regarding it.  I don't get your comment how it is horrible, in the context that the original Killzone was horrible.  Please let me know why you think Resistance 2 is horrible, whil the original Resistance was good.  Outside of changing the health and weapon systems to resemble what you see in Killzone 2, and just about every other FPS out there now, why do you think it is horrible?

On this note, I am curious if people might be holding the original Resistance in too high of a regard, if they thrash the sequel like this.

He genuinely may not like the style of Resistance 2. But I enjoyed it, and will definately be adding it to my collection. You at least have me on your side in saying the game is good. I'll admit KZ2 is the definitive shooter for PS3 but R2 is definately worth purchasing.

It is one thing not to like the style of a game.  It is another thing to call it "horrible", particularly "horrible" in the context of the original Killzone.

Well I agree with DMJ about the single player. It is horrible thanks in part to broken AI and less than inspiring level design. There is no point to Hale having squad mates because the Chimera completely ignore and gun only for you. Hell they'll run after you even when they shouldn't know your position. Resistance 1 was more complete game IMO. Both the single player and multiplayer were top notch. The single player in R2 seems like a last minute addition in comparison.
