1st place - Eternal Sword (Tales of Phantasia/Symphonia)
User - Cless Alvein, Mithos, Lloyd Irving (In two halves, complete sword to a very minor extent)
Reasoning - Created by Origin, the spirit of the dwarves and creator of all things. The Eternal sword is a legendary blade capable of cleaving though the fabric of time and space.
2nd Place - Masamune (Final Fantasy 7)
User Sephiroth, Tifa Lockhart (Couldn't use it very well)
Reasoning - The Odachi used by Sephiroth is a iconic symbol for Final Fantasy 7, to the same degree the Buster sword is. However, as the buster sword is quickly discarded as the party leaves midgar. The masamune remains with sephiroth thoughout the entire game, sephiroth's natural talent with the blade along with it's insane length gives this sword 2nd place on my list.
3rd Place - Energy Sword (Halo Series)
User Spartans, Elites, The Arbiter, Master Chief
Reasoning - The Energy sword is a unique sword, in gameplay it generally removes whatever your fighting in a single blow. Only stronger enemies such as the occassional Brute, Tank Forms, or a Over-shielded player can survive a Energy Sword to the face. What give's it, it's unique qualities is the shape of the blade. Most Energy swords are your lightsabre type, which is seen thoughout many games. The Energy Sword has a unique shape to it, giving it more of a double-dagger appearance almost. For that it gets my number 3.
Why must JRPG female leads suck so bad?
