Let's look at the options. First off... Ratchet:
Problem - Guns. Not exactly something all perants would aprove of.
Next we have Kratos.... on second thought.... there's no point. I'm sure you've seen the dude lately.
Next up, Jak. The first jak would have worked just fine... but how's Jak now???
Uhhh.... he has a few inner emotion issues that he needs to work out b4 we can start talking mascot material...
Next up :- Sly Cooper!!
