You have to try to go middle-of-the-road in a review... You can't promote a game by saying "well, if you do everything in this game, it could last up to 12 hours", because if you did, you would have to do the same for every game. BioShock took me about 12-14 hours to finish at my normal rate of play. Heavenly Sword took me a little over 5 hours at that same rate of play. I do not understand what is so difficult to understand about this. I didn't rush HS, I just played it. And it lasted a little over 5 hours. You can keep telling me what I did "wrong" in the game but odds are, I probably died fewer times than you did. And if I can get through a game that quickly and die as few times as I did, obviously those power-ups and combos are a big fat waste of time. You can go get them if you want but don't go around telling me how I'm playing the game incorrectly. I listed a fact and that fact is Heavenly Sword took me exactly 5 hours and 16 minutes to finish at my normal rate of play, cutscenes and all. I bet I wasn't actually playing the game for a lick over 4 hours total once you subtract loading times and cutscenes. And that's too bloody short. Besides, I don't know what the fuss is here... I gave the game a 8/10. I'm not saying it's a bad game, just that it's too short. If it actually was a bad game, I seriously doubt I would complain about length. |
What you have to except is just because you completed the game in just over 5 hours doesnt mean that most people will complete the game in 5 hours. In nearly every review i have read people say it takes 7-8 hours to complete. If you go for everything then it can take roughly 12-13 hours. Yes potentially you can complete it in 5 but that means you missed out on doing so much in the game. Just because you didnt intentially go into a game going to rush it doesnt mean in the end you didnt rush through it.
