Humans actualy do have only 5 pints of blood, your talking about plasma which is not realy blood. its just a fluid to to act as a guiding path for your red blood cells to go through your body. You really cant live with less than 5 pints, not even hospitals will allow blood donors to donate more than 2 pints cause you can get really dizzy fast and woozy. another fact is that more than half your blood is plasma.
